Entry Requirements for the US
Conference attendees are responsible for checking whether they require a visa to enter the US, and if so, how long the process will take: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html
Ensure coverage by your health insurance and/or travel insurance. Bring necessary documents on the trip.
Electricity
The standard electrical voltage in the US is 120 volts AC, 60 Hz. The electrical outlets in the US take plugs with either two flat parallel pins, or two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. We recommend that you purchase an adaptor for your electrical equipment prior to your arrival.
Weather
Average Temperature for July: 25 – 32 Celsius / 77 – 90 Fahrenheit. There is air conditioning in the conference area. You may wish to bring some long sleeves clothes.
Getting to Miami by Air
The closest airport is Miami International Airport (MIA). The conference hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport.
Parking
Overnight parking at the Holiday Inn Miami Beach-Oceanfront is $38 per day. For conference attendees not staying at the hotel and require day parking, the parking rate is $15 per day – please contact the conference organizer in advance to utilize this offer.
