Career Development Workshop at ISIMS 2024
There will be a Career Development Workshop in the evening of Tuesday July 23, hosted by Females in Mass Spectrometry (FeMS+). The workshop will focus on communication skills, and is open to all career stages and all gender. Don’t miss this chance to invest in yourself and your future!

Attendance: Open to FeMS+ members in mass spectrometry and related fields. This workshop is open to all career stages and al gender, with priority given to women, those who identified as women, and LGBTQIA+ in the mass spectrometry and related fields."Anyone in mass spectrometry and related fields, including ion mobility spectrometry, can join FeMS+. Workship Theme - Powerful Communication: Learn how to deliver well-prepared persuasive communication with strategy, conciseness, and confidence. We will cover self-introduction, elevator pitch, impact statement, networking, and oral briefing.
Activities include: pre-event assignments, small group exercises, and interactive forum with STEM leaders.
Book exhange: Please bring any books on leadership or communication that you would like to donate to FeMS+ or to exchange!
Expectations: This workshop is focused on career development. It is not intended as a job placement service and does not cover topics related to advancement in mass spectrometry. The success of this workshop depends on your active participation throughout the event, including completing pre-event assignments – active contribution, active listening, active reflection.
