Student Travel Awards

Eligibility

  • At the time of the conference, applicants must be either a full-time student (enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, PhD, or equivalent program) or an early career researcher. For this award’s purpose, early career researchers are typically candidates within the first three years of their academic postdoc, minus any delays such as parental, family-related, medical and bereavement leave. However, everyone in a comparable non-academic position is welcome to apply.

  • Applicants must be the presenting author of an abstract for an oral or poster presentation submitted with the travel award application. Attendance and presentation by the travel award recipient at the International Conference on Ion Mobility Spectrometry are required for the year that the travel award is granted.

  • Past travel award recipients may apply again. However, priority will be given to first time applicants meeting all requirements.

  • Only one applicant per organization may apply for the travel award. If multiple applications from a single organization are received, we will ask the applicants from the organization to withdraw all but one application. Otherwise, multiple applications are considered not eligible. Separate research groups from the same institution are treated as different organizations.
